I visit often as I have family there, getting photos to bring back to paint.
The colors in this painting were inspired from a Navajo bracelet I purchased in a gallery that was handmade by Artist Calvin Begay in Sedona, Arizona. It is inset with turquoise and coral, perfect for this landscape painting.
Marti was born to her passion for nature and painting. It has always seemed natural for her to express the diversity that nature has to offer through her paintings. She has an innate ability to express nature's ever-changing moods through her use of color and simplicity of style. Her vitality for life and the emotions she feels are all expressed through her paintings, most of which are from places she has visited and sketched on site. She has attended both Olympic College and Evergreen State College with an emphasis on business, advertising and commercial art.
