A contemporary oil painting using a palette knife. With living in the Northwest, I have the love for the smell of salt water air on summer days, the sounds of seagulls waiting for fisherman's catch at the end of day. I love to visit the harbors for summer walks on the docks or kayaking. This was a simple and fun quick painting to do. I never tire with these paintings and they are my favorite along with the Public Market in Seattle. Original may still be available at the Bluewater Gallery in Poulsbo, WA. Marti was born to her passion for nature and painting. It has always seemed natural for her to express the diversity that nature has to offer through her paintings.
